The Process of Creating A Comic Book

Comic books have been around in the United States since 1934. The term "comic book" was coined due to the fact that the first books were actually reprinted humor comic strips. But as any comic book enthusiast knows, comic books aren't just about humor anymore as they tell stories and cross many genres.

If you have ever wanted to become an author of a comic book or create your own series, you might have asked what it takes and what is the process.

To start, most comic books are designed by groups of people. For larger and better-known comic book distributors, there are a series of people on staff that include a writer, a penciller, an inker, a colorist, a letterer, and an editor. Sometimes one person can take a variety of roles. For instance, in most alternative and small press comics, the same person will write and illustrate, although it is still common for a separate person to produce the color separations, and sometimes the lettering.  In Japan, where the comic book is called a mangaka, one person usually writes and pencils his own work while their assistants may handle the inking, screentone, and lettering.  In most European comics, there are usually two or three artists involved: a writer, an artist who provides lettered artwork, and a colorist where necessary.

If you are you are interested in starting your own company and hiring the people or friends to get your comic series off the ground, here are some steps to consider:

1.    Concept/World - Maybe you already have the concept or imaginary world of your comic book idea in your mind and this is why you are interested in creating your own comic book. This is a great start. But if you don't and you just like the idea of comic books, then here is where you try to imagine a concept that nobody else has come up with yet. You can start by asking yourself questions such as who would be my hero or what would happen if this kind of person met this other type of person in an imaginary world? You don't have to be the writer to come up with a concept, which brings us to number two.

2.    Writer/Story - Your writers are the people or maybe just one person, who takes the concept and turns it into a story. A good writer understands the story well and is great at writing dialogue. The writer or writers will also give the story its basic structure, rhythm, its setting, develop its characters, and help refine the plot.

3.    Penciller - The penciller uses a pencil to sketch out images to go along with the story. It is done in pencil so that changes can be made as needed. This person has the responsibility of creating the overall look of the comic. Many comic book enthusiasts are very critical about the artwork of a comic and can even choose comics solely by the artwork, therefore the work of the penciller is just as critical as the other positions.

4.    Inker - The inker will take the pencil work and bring it to life with color. The inker will typically start off by going over the penciled in work with black ink, giving the lines more depth and more of a three-dimensional look. By enhancing the lines in black and white to start, it makes it easier to copy and color the images. Some pencillers will do this part themselves, but it takes a different kind of skill set than the penciller uses. Although the inker is basically retracing everything, they also are given credit for helping the art become a finished piece.

5.    Colorist - The colorist adds color, lighting, and shading to the inks of the comic book. Special attention to detail is critical here, because if the colorist doesn't use the right colors, people will notice.

6.    Letterer - Without words to convey the story, your readers may very well be lost. During this stage of comic production, the letterer adds the words, sound effects, titles, captions, word bubbles, and thought bubbles. Some creators do this by hand with the aide of an Ames Guide and T-Square, but most people do this via computers.

7.    Editorial - The editor of the comic book gives it a final look through - overseeing the quality and identifying problems that potentially need to be fixed. The editor has fresh eyes or the project as well, and is able to see the comic as if for the first time.

8.    Printing/Publishing - Now for the printing and publishing. Some comics are printed digitally. Having your comic book printed and published is the final element and therefore the book should be complete in every way. Once published, all you have to do is market it and sell it, which could mean a whole other set of staff.

While these eight steps seem simple, the process of creating a comic book that is truly unique and catchy can be a challenge. But if it is your passion, then there is no harm in giving it a try. Who knows, you might have the next best selling comic.

Internet Crush?

So, I have this huge crush on my best dude friend.
We both like the same things and are both really nerdy.
Today, I was going to ask him if he wanted to go to a Comic Book convention with me in Canada this weekend.
(It's a long trip from where we are in Wisconsin, so that would mean us spending a lot of time together). And while on that trip, I would have confessed my crush to him.

So I'm striking up a conversation with him before I ask and he mentions that he met some girl on a forum and now they are internet dating. Or something really stupid.

I was completely crushed. I walked away and haven't talked to him since.

What should I do about this? Ask him anyway? His internet "girlfriend" lives in Florida, so it's not like she would find out.

But in a sense, would you consider me a "home wrecker" if I still made a move on him while he was involved with said internet girlfriend?

I'm stuck, help!

Oh my goodness, you are absolutely adorable. (as far as I can tell from your pic).

Anywho...I think you should go for it!! An internet relationship...especially a very LONG-DISTANCE online relationship that's only just started...doesn't have any SUBSTANCE to it. It's just a fun little fling & he probably enjoys her stroking his ego. I think you have a lot more to offer him & I'm surprised he hasn't already noticed! Good luck, darling!

How To Make A Cheap And Easy Gourmet Gift Basket For Mom

Gift baskets are always popular and a great idea to give as a gift whether for Mother's Day or any other time of the year. Moms love to receive gift baskets. Making your own gourmet 'mom' gift basket is cheap and easy. You can fill your gift basket with a variety of inexpensive quality items; you have lots of choices.

I've put together a few great tips and ideas for making 'mom' gift baskets, complete with instructions on how to make them. You can make inexpensive gift baskets or expensive gift baskets depending on your budget. You can easily customize each basket to your recipient.

First make a list of the mom's hobbies and interests. List everything you can think of that might possibly pertain.

Suggestions: sports, books, television shows, in-house hobbies, outdoor recreation, camping, workshop, tools, golf, fishing, computer-related, environment friendly, golf, tennis, relaxation, food, chocolate, wine, spa, bath and body, fruit, cookie, etc. These are just a few ideas.

You can find many inexpensive items and products for use in making your gift baskets or filling your gift baskets, at 'dollar' stores, craft stores, party stores, discount outlets, flea markets, close-out stores and even at garage sales providing the items are new, etc.

For gift containers you can use: any type of basket, wicker basket, straw basket, bucket, laundry basket, plastic container, purse, tin, seasonal container, large tea pot, large upside-down hat, red hat or plastic storage container-put lid underneath.

Other items: extra-large coffee mug, boot, potted plant holder, wire basket, large pasta bowl, large popcorn bowl, cooking pot, clay pot, colander, skillet, antique trunk, champagne bucket, hamper, Asian-style trunk or picnic basket.

For gift basket liner you can use: tissue paper, shredded paper, shredded newspaper, tea towels, dish towels, hand towels, kitchen towels, colored towels, colored napkins, placemats, or fabric pieces.

For gift basket filler you can use: shredded colored paper, straw, Easter basket grass, crumpled newspaper comics, a bed of wrapped chocolates or other wrapped candy.

For items in the container it'll depend on the specialty or theme of the gift basket - in this case a mom. Here is a small random sampling to give you a few good ideas:

Gift certificate for massage or spa visit, scented oils, scented massage oils, gift certificate to favorite store, gift certificate for restaurant, loofah, fragrant candle, matches to light candles, CD of nature sounds, favorite artist CD, DVD of newer release movie, how-to video or CD, handwritten poem, perfume, cologne, watch, framed photo, inspirational book, spa pillows, bath pillows, spa supplies, bath and body products, facial and body scrubs, handmade soaps, fragrant soaps, shampoos, hand and foot lotion or fluffy towel.

Flavored teas, green tea, specialty tea, herbal tea, biscotti, tea infuser, healthy snacks, fancy chocolates, boxed chocolates, chocolate bars, hot chocolate mix, specialty coffee mix, homemade cookies, homemade brownies, homemade jams, popcorn, caramel corn, giant-size boxed candy, candy canes, suckers, lollipops, apple, pear, orange, persimmon, mango, papaya, chips, pretzels, nuts, gourmet pasta, gourmet olive oil, pre-packaged food items, pancake mixes, brownie mixes, cookie mixes, wooden spoons, your best chocolate chip cookie recipe, Italian recipes, Mexican food recipes or other ethnic recipes, coffee mug, or potholders.

Garden trowel or other garden tools, garden gloves, work gloves, cold weather gloves, leather gloves, garden picks, seeds, hand lotion, flower pot , small tools, gadgets, playing cards, travel-size games, small puzzles, t-shirt, tickets to events,
small plant, disposable camera, a small book,

Computer-related items, mouse pad, yarn, painting or artist supplies, golf balls, golf tees, golf knick knacks, tennis balls, tennis knick knacks, key chains, small calendars or desk calendars, barometer, outdoor thermometer, science gadgets, electronic gadgets, health-related items, auto-related items or cinnamon sticks.

For gift basket wrapping you can use tulle netting or better yet, cellophane wrap. If you're going to use a lot of cellophane you can purchase it in large rolls wholesale through the packaging specialty stores throughout the U.S. but should be easily found in craft stores.

Tie off the wrapped basket with ribbon. Wired fabric ribbon is best if you have it.

For bows: You can use pre-packaged bows but making your own bow is easy and a better presentation if you can do it. Use a huge beautiful bow.

Assemble all your gift basket items, the tools you need, etc. Now line your selected gift container. Then stuff the selected filler into the gift basket to give added height to your items. Place, layer and arrange your selected items on the filler in the gift container. Put the larger items in the back, the smaller items in front.

Fill in the holes or prop up with more filler (shredded paper, Easter basket grass, wrapped chocolates, napkins or holiday napkins etc.)

Also you can use 'picks' of artificial flowers to fill in small open spots.

Place your cellophane or other wrap under the gift basket. Center the gift basket on the wrap. Bring the cellophane or other wrap over the top of the gift basket and tie it with ribbon and/or a beautiful bow! Use ribbon and bows to match your theme colors.

Tuck a personalized card in the ribbon and that's it!

General tips: You can find fabric or wired ribbon cheaply at Costco -- especially in the fall prior to Christmas or around holidays but often throughout the year in most stores. You can shred colored paper in a paper shredder.

Try to use non-perishable items except, of course, when making fruit baskets. Use freshly packaged food items; packaged crackers and cookies can go stale in a couple of months.

You can find filler flower 'picks' at garage sales cheaply. If you buy 'picks' wholesale they are usually around a dollar each.

Try not to mix chocolate or other food fragrant items with non-food fragrant items in the same basket.

Also there's nothing like learning how to make gift baskets from a video or DVD for making cheap and easy gift baskets. You can view it over and over again and share it with your children, other family members and friends. You can even charge for classes with your new-found knowledge and/or start a home based business if you so desire. In any event, making a gourmet mom gift basket can be cheap and easy.

How to become a Millionaire or even a Billionaire ! The VITAL Millionaire secrets they don’t tell you in text books

Hello My Dear Reader,

I have an absolutely riveting story to tell you about my Multi Millionaire friend Gary Jackson.

It starts a few years ago when Gary was just like millions of others around the world - an employee with a 9 to 5. At the time, (again like most people) Gary wished he could break away from being an employee and have his own business.

But unlike most people, Gary did something about it.  From virtually nothing, he's amazingly turned himself into a self made Millionaire. But not just once - several times over!

Now, I also know other people who've had their own business and failed, or at best not been particularly successful.  I've chatted to many of them, and we've all wondered why Gary had such runaway success, when others didn't. One thing we ALL agreed on was that we'd LOVE to know if there was something unique or different that Gary did that made him become so successful, so one day when I had the chance I asked him.  Exactly how did you become so successful Gary? What's your secret?

I have to admit, his answer SHOCKED me.

This is what he said...

"I had some experience of business as an employee, but not much.  I always yearned to be my own boss so I read a lot of books about business and I chatted with people I knew, to learn more. Before long I had really BIG ideas!

Eventually the day came when I took the plunge and started my own business. I had some moderate success, but despite my best efforts, for a long time I really struggled. Boy did I struggle! Let me explain.

It seemed that whenever I got ahead, something would mysteriously come long and take it away from me. I seemed to rise a bit and fall a bit and then fall a bit more. I could never seem to get out of the rut.

During this time, I kept a journal (you don’t have to do this) and after 3 years of rising, falling and falling, rising, falling and falling, I actually considered giving up entirely. One day I started reading through my journal. It was quite illuminating to read my own personal history… but then I noticed something. A pattern. There were ‘things’ running alongside my rises and falls, as if these things were making the rises and falls happen.  I wondered if this was just a co-incidence, or if these things really were connected.

So what I did was to take all the things that seemed to be making the rises happen… and make sure I did them… and looked out for the things that seemed to be making the falls happen… and purposefully did NOT do them.

At the same time I carried on keeping my journal and just 7 months later I had created assets worth £1.2 million (relatively easy once you know these little secrets). At this time of writing, I am well on the way to £50 million and I have never experienced a fall since.

I’ve created 27 ‘Key Rules’ – my own Millionaire Secrets - from the notes I made in my journal and I’ve validated everything both by rigorous testing and honing and by asking other Millionaires what they thought to them. Each time I asked a Millionaire or Billionaire about them, they always smiled knowingly and said something like “It took me a while to figure that out. And as soon as I did, off I went!”

Now, most people believe that success in business and becoming a multi Millionaire is all about what product(s) you have. Well, they are right upto a point. But, they would probably be surprised to learn that just as important is your BEHAVIOUR. If your mindset is ‘wrong’ then you will NEVER make it.

I’m telling you now, these 27 ‘Rules’ are what you have to figure out in order to become a Millionaire or Billionaire. Here’s an example for you...

Your Parking Brake

Yes, your parking brake.  Not the one in your car but the one in your mind.

That’s right, you have a parking brake in your mind which stops you from moving forward. It’s ‘on’ when something you are about to do seems scary or painful… which is a good thing if... what you’re about to do is to jump into the path of a speeding lorry.

In other words, this ‘parking brake’ is there for your own good.

Problem is, this handy mechanism can also prevent us from taking actions that bring about outcomes we desperately want in our life.

An example of this ‘parking brake’ in action can be seen if you talk to someone in a sauna about jumping into the Dunk Pool. The Dunk Pool is the freezing cold pool you’re supposed to jump into to cool off. It’s supposed to be very good for the skin and makes the body release feel good chemicals.

But just mentioning the Dunk Pool to people in the sauna will make them say “Ooo Nooo!”. Sometimes they will shudder at the thought. Even if you paid them to jump in they would stand there for hours dipping their toes in, then half their left foot… it would be comical. Their parking brake is on.

The point I’m making is, it’s only the thought of doing it that puts them off actually doing it. They don’t actually know what it’s like. They’ve never done it before. They don’t know that if you just sling yourself in, it’s a split second of shock followed by a great deal of pleasure followed by some very valuable health benefits which I won’t go into here.

I always jump in the Dunk Pool and just before I do, I NEVER think about the split second of shock… if I do then I start making excuses not to do it… which means I won’t get the pleasure and the health benefits (By the way, if you have a heart condition I do not suggest you do it).

What I DO is think about the buzz I get afterwards. The feeling of exhilaration, the release of ‘feel-good’ hormones and the satisfaction of knowing I’m helping improve my health. It’s great!

APPLY IT TO EVERYTHING YOU DO!

The same thing applies to everything else you have to do in life. If you have a load of washing up to do… and you think about the fact that you have to get off your butt and sort out the plates and fill up the sink and wash each dish and knife and fork and scold your hands in the hot water… you won’t do it. The parking brake will be on.

If you only think about how good it will be when they’re washed up and all put away… before you know it, they will be done.

If you think about going to the gym, getting changed, seeing someone you don’t like there, pushing each individual weight, puffing and panting… you won’t go. Your parking brake will be on.

If, however, you think about how great you will feel afterwards… the sense of achievement and all the other good stuff like a better looking body etc then you will go. Your parking brake will come off and there’ll be no stopping you.

APPLYING IT TO BUSINESS

Now... to make money in business, we have to, dare I say it, DO things. These things can be off putting. They can seem scary and painful to do. But the thing is, they’re not painful at all. We just think (or imagine) they will be more painful than not doing them. So we leave them to the last minute. We procrastinate. The parking brake is on… and we only just get by.

If we could just take off the parking brake then we could build momentum and start generating a lot more than we need… the surplus we generate can be used to generate MUCH more than we need. This increasing surplus can be used to increase our income further and eventually we can become rich.

But if our parking brake is on then we only do just enough and we never generate the surplus needed to become rich… so we don’t.

Okay. We now know the cause of procrastination: The thought of actually doing something. We now know the price of procrastination: Only ever hovering just above broke. But how exactly do we ‘take off the parking brake’?

Well, until recently I didn’t realise how I was doing it. The parking brake just seemed to come off when it was good and ready to come off. But what I was actually doing was picturing the outcome… like we discussed earlier remember?

As soon as I consciously pictured the outcome instead of actually doing the thing that led to the outcome, it was like I was taken control of and given the power to effortlessly complete the task without much thought.

My parking brake came off.

But I soon realised that I wasn’t just picturing the outcome, I was also feeling the pleasure the outcome would give me. So we now have two things...

1. A picture of the outcome – What it would be like when the task is done

2. The pleasure you feel when it’s done

HOW TO DO THIS ANY TIME AND EVERY TIME

Now I wanted to devise a method of creating those two ‘ingredients’ at will so that I could take my parking brake off... at will. I came up with the following method...

1. Sit quietly and close your eyes

2. Select a task you need to complete or a goal you want to achieve

3. Ask yourself: What does it feel like to have not done it? – Spend about 30 seconds feeling how it feels to have not done it.

4. Now ask yourself: What would it be like to have done it? – This is what you would see if it was completed e.g. the picture of the outcome. Spend 30 seconds picturing this outcome. Repeat the question if necessary.

5. Next ask yourself: How would I feel when the task/goal is completed? – This is the pleasure you would feel when the task/goal is done. How good it would feel. Spend 30 seconds feeling this. Again, repeat the question if necessary.

6. Open your eyes

7. Make a little conscious effort to complete the task (In other words, prepare to begin the task)

That’s my method of taking the parking brake off and if you spend 30 seconds on each question you will find yourself completing task after task after task with minimal effort and you’ll also find that the quality of your work is shockingly better too. Try it - it works. "

END.

IT REALLY WORKS!

Well, after Gary told me this, I did try and  it DOES work!

But this is just ONE of Gary's fascinating Millionaire Secrets.  There are 27 in all and I've yet to find one that doesn't work!

Read on for more information...

Captain America

Are you Part of America’s Problems?

You are if:

You are perfectly healthy but yet so damn lazy that you need to wait for an elevator to go up or down one flight of stairs and think that everyone else on the elevator should deal with your own laziness.

You would rather toss your cigarette butt out your car window than use your own ashtray for whatever reason. Double this if you are driving a “Prius” or other hybrid and trying to pretend you care about the environment.

You run out to get your lottery ticket religiously each week in hopes of getting lucky instead of relying on hard work to succeed.

You think that because you win an Emmy, Tony, Oscar or any award that people want to hear about your political views.

You can’t drive while talking on your cell phone and swerve all over the road, get a ticket and give nebby politicians an excuse to punish the rest of us who are actually capable of doing more than one thing at a time.

You vote for said nebby politicians because you think that they really should micromanage everyone’s lives.

You can’t be bothered to read the instructions for something (anything, I don’t care what it is) and complain that you can’t figure it out. You’re an even bigger part of the problem if you start asking others to help you because even after you realize you can’t figure it out you STILL refuse to read the manual!

You say you support the troops but not their “mission”. Basically you are saying you support the troops but that you don’t agree with them and the job they have chosen to do? Huh. Interesting way to “support” someone.

You try to win arguments by setting up elaborate canards about why someone can’t have an intelligent opinion about a topic (i.e. if you aren’t in the military you can’t have an opinion about the war, etc.). Fine then. By that same token unless you have a pair of Engineering Degrees, specifically a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering and a Masters in Environmental Engineering, are conservative, aren’t currently running your own business and so on and so forth, you can’t comment on my opinions because, well, obviously you aren’t qualified to know what the heck I am talking about because of your limited experience and understanding of my point of view.

You actually think the towers of the World Trade Center were brought down by controlled demolition and that it was a missile, not a jet plane, which slammed in the Pentagon.

You don’t know enough about the properties of steel to comment about what happened at the World Trade Center on September 11th, have only gotten your knowledge from conspiracy websites and fake or inexperienced engineers who couldn’t computer their way out of a paper bag, and STILL feel compelled to comment on how there is no way those two planes could have toppled those buildings.

You think that you should be able to coerce other people to pay for your retirement, health care benefits, etc. through government force.

You try to equate someone that is upset about illegal immigrants who are breaking our laws as somehow being anti-immigrant.

You actually think you know more than God and try to convince people that they shouldn’t eat meat even though we have teeth designed specifically for that purpose. Go eat your veggies if you want, but leave the rest of us alone!

You insanely chant the slogan “war is never the answer”. When you are being hauled off to a concentration camp because you convinced people not to fight back against evil get back to me and let me know how well that slogan worked out will ya?

You actually believe that the secession of southern states and the civil war was not about slavery and the unalienable rights of men regardless of the color of their skin despite the fact that several southern states issued declarations stating so ad nauseam.

You actually think that slavery was outlawed in the United States by the 13th Amendment. It was not! It is still allowed as punishment for a crime for which the person has been duly convicted.

You think the ACLU actually is a great and noble organization with principles firmly rooted in the Constitution.

You refuse to accept that Margaret Sanger, mother of the abortion rights movement, was a racist promoting eugenics as a way of trying to control the size of the black population in America.

You whine when someone says something you consider “mean”. Awww. Boo FREAKING Hoo!

You haven’t laughed at something on this list yet and are offended by most of it because most of the things on it strike too close to home.

You sit around and look for internet polls to spike and are so deluded that you think it will convince others that your candidate of choice has more support than he or she really does.

You have read more books by Noam Chomsky than you have by or about the Founding Fathers.

You irrationally think that anyone who disagrees with you must automatically be a racist, sexist, fascist or something else silly in order to justify in your own mind why they don’t see things your way.

When I reference Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution you have no idea what it says and have to run to take a look.

You think that the Constitution (in the words of Captain Barbosa) is more of just a guideline anyway. So who cares if it gets violated right?

You refuse to accept that modern liberalism is in fact Marxism.

You refuse to accept the truth that the vast, vast majority of our founding fathers were unabashedly Christians and dismiss the fact they proclaimed such as they signed in the Constitution by stating that they did so “in the year of our Lord” because it doesn’t fit your view of history.

You think that you can claim the Declaration of Independence doesn’t mention God and get away with it.

Your grasp of American history consists of little more than at one time some white people had slaves and that therefore everything is wrong with the world because of it.

You think FDR was a great President for his legacy of unconstitutional social programs.

You think that the impeachment of Bill Clinton was “just about sex” in order to dismiss it instead of admitting that it was really about him lying under oath and suborning perjury in order to prevent a woman from having her Constitutionally guaranteed day in court.

You think “Bush lied” about weapons of mass destruction and that he was only going after Saddam because he tried to kill his daddy and for oil and that those were the only reason why the Iraq got its ass kicked ... again.

You think Hitler (the head of the National Socialist German Workers' Party) was actually “right wing”. Notice the word “Socialist” there much?

You think that evangelical Christians are as big of a threat (or an even bigger threat) to America than Islamic extremists who want you to either convert or die.

You think Rosie O’Donnell actually has a grasp on reality.

You were one of the bozos that applauded something Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said during his speech at Columbia University.

Tommy Lee Jones Circling a Captain America Role?

Nothing like a good rumor to close out a Friday. Today's tantalizing but unconfirmed tidbit is that Tommy Lee Jones is circling a role in Captain America. What role? We don't know. Or, more to the point, the sources that told UGO that this is happening don't know. It's a good idea -- hell, it's a great idea. Captain America will be a war picture to some extent, and there's got to be a Colonel or ...

Black Comic Book Heroes

Super Hero Games for the Nintendo Wii

Super heroes have been around for a very long time in the form of comic books and action figures. They have found their way to the big screen and even to the world of video games. They are timeless and they never seem to go out of style. It seems in this world of good and evil there is always room for one more super hero to come along and save the day.

If you love super heroes you will be very excited to discover that there are plenty of Nintendo Wii games that fit into this category. The have wonderful effects so you can feel like you are a part of the game. You can bring the characters to life instead of just moving them around. You will likely get lost in the action that is going on.

One of the newest ones out there is Spiderman 3. Set in the city of New York, Spiderman is out there trying to save the day anyway he can. What is very original about this version of the game is that you can go with the regular suit or the black one that Spiderman wears in the movie. When Spiderman is wearing the black suit he is stronger and faster. Yet we all know there are ways in which that suit consumes him so you better be ready for them in the game.

There are complete storylines from the movie that you can play through if you wish to do so. If not, you will have the option to create your own scenes along the way. With this particular super hero game for the Wii you aren’t just trying to save others; you are trying to save Spiderman from himself as well. Will your desire for power be too much and lead to your own destruction? Will not using the black suit though mean you aren’t powerful enough at times to defeat the enemies? There are plenty of cool effects and plenty of great features found in this game that you will be quite impressed with.

If destruction is more your style the Incredible Hulk game may be what you are interested in. He is huge and green and can get very angry when things don’t go his way. Even though the Hulk is attempting to be helpful he leaves a mess every where he goes. You may be having a great time destroying everything in your path but you need to be careful. The more you destroy the more forces will be coming to take you out. That could mean your game ends before you have gotten to explore very much out there.

The game portrays the Incredible Hulk as more of a human than a cartoon version. In fact if you have see the newly released movie then you will understand that there is a connection between the two. It is no accident that this newly released Wii game came out around the same time as the movie hit theatres. Most people agree that they like this humanist form of the Hulk much better.

There is also Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law. With this particular super hero game Harvey has to solve some tough cases. Are you up to the task of helping him do so? There are some that are relatively easy to solve and others that are going to take a great deal of concentration on your part. You can have a great time with this Wii game as well as enjoying sharpening your thinking skills.

The legacy of super heroes lives on with the many Nintendo Wii games. If you have a couple of favorites you can choose those games to play. It can be fun to be a part of those games instead of just reading about that super hero or watching them on TV. Nintendo has done a terrific job of bringing these images to life for people to really get into the game.

Favorite Comic Book Archer?

Basically, I'm asking you to choose between Hawkeye and Green Arrow, but other characters could by in the running (like the original archer hero, The Arrow, or Quality's 'Alias the Spider, or even Marvel's Black Archer).

The winning answer will be given for the most compelling reason for supporting your candidate.

The best would be green arrow for a few simple reasons

1. He is more than just a super hero he is an idealist who actually worries more about the common man than just fighting for "justice", he fights for everyone and he actually cares for the well being of every citizen, while hawkeye is busy with the avengers or the ultimates doing his thing

2. the costume with the hoodie is simply bad ass other archers have got nothing on that one

3. Oliver Queen has shown that he is a hero with or without the mask,as green arrow he has fought alongside the best and held his own pretty well, and as the mayor of his city (can't remember the name)he has worked to make sure that everyone receives fair treatment....if real life politicians could be like him the world would be a better place

4. Any super hero that manages to date black canary is worthy of mention lol.

5 He is DC"s most famous archer and probably the best in the DC universe, his skills with the bow and arrow are nothing short of amazing read his comics and you will see why

6. He is actually a lot smarter than hawkeye,in his comics he relies a lot more on his wit than his weapons and a lot of times he has gone against villains that were clearly stronger than he was and still managed to to win.

in the end i think that green arrow is better because of his personality more than anything else, all the archers you mentioned have amazing skills but not many of them have character, green arrow is more than your average super hero,he is a man willing to fight for what he believes in and ready to lay his life down to make sure that everyone receives justice he is the super hero that actually worries about the underprivileged and the poor, the defenseless and the weak and strives to make this world better with or with out his bow and arrows.

Naruto -- not Just Another Comic Story

Naruto is one of the most popular manga and anime series around. It features a young boy, Naruto, whose body actually contains the spirit of a fearsome nine-tailed fox that had been terrorizing his village some twelve years earlier. At that time, this nasty fox was captured and its spirit was sealed in the body of a baby boy (our Naruto).

Jump ahead twelve years and you've got the star of the story, now a mischievous and hyperactive young ninja with great aspirations. Both Naruto anime (animated television shows) and manga (the comic book series) go through episodes of high-flung adventures battling monsters, other ninjas and, last but not least, doing ninja exams.

Both the manga and anime series have spawned numerous fan sites and forums, with all manner of products available online (screen savers, online games, etc.) and for sale (apparel, DVDs, and more). But what lies behind this popular series is an interesting fact: the story of Naruto is based solidly on traditional Japanese culture.

Author and artist Masashi Kishimoto was born in Japan in 1974 and it is an area very rich in history. Kishimoto won Shonen Jump magazine's Hop Step Award for new manga artists with his manga Karakuri, but he didn't stop there. His first Naruto version was a story of fox spirits and the story grew. It fast became a most popular ninja manga, in fact one of the most popular in Japan.

What may have escaped some western Naruto fans is the interesting story of the fox. Fox myths abound in Japanese culture, dating back as far as the fifth century B.C. Stories portray foxes as intelligent beings possessing magical abilities which increase as they age and gain wisdom. One of their tricks is their ability to shape-shift and sometimes they take on the form of a human. Some tales have them tricking others by changing into human form while others describe them as friends or guardians or even wives.

A kitsune (the Japanese word for fox) can have up to nine tails, as did the evil fox in Naruto's past. And from the older stories, it seems that the more tails he has, the more powerful he is. Most folk tales state that a fox will grow more tails only after it's lived for one thousand years.

Interestingly, Japanese folklore originally portrayed the fox as having only good attributes, and their evil and mischievous traits came in with Chinese and Korean folk tales. Some consider the kitsune as a deity and they will make offerings to them. There are quite a few tales about kitsune, both good and evil, with foxes shape-shifting into human form (a skill they only acquire after the age of 100) and then covertly living as part of a family until finally being discovered (they often seem to have trouble hiding their tails when assuming human form!).

A common belief is that foxes will impersonate beautiful women. Early in Japan's history, it was thought that any woman alone, particularly at night, could actually be a fox. Other stories tell of fox spirits inhabiting humans: there is even a word, Kitsunetsuki, which means "the state of being possessed by a fox." It's been said that humans possessed by fox spirits tend to go mad and run naked through the streets, among other things.

However, our Naruto isn't evil or nasty. It's easy to see, though, how he gets away with so much mischief. A popular and adventurous story, it will be that way for generations to come.
