The Losers movie was garbage!!!! you agree?
Things I dont understand about this movie
1 who the hell is max suppose to be
2 why is max giving US ARMY officials orders
3 I am pretty sure max is not a government official so why is he a threat to the 'losers' and makes them sneak back into the USA
4 why would max be shot in the arm after he ruined the losers lives
5 where are all the law enforcement agencies while all these shoot outs are going
6 who goes on a special ops mission to sneak into a hospital to see their baby being born
7 is it that easy to high jack a military helicopter and then fly it
8 why would max shoot his umbrella woman (as soon as I saw that I stopped taking the movie seriously)
Am I the only one who though this movie had no plot???, the shoot outs were great but this movie put the comic book to shame
I'll explain:
1. Max is a made-up figure that, in this particular universe, ranks higher than any CIA agent and, according to the military, doesn't exist.
2. Refer to question one. Also, this story is based off of the comic, so it's not going to follow all of our government's rules to a T.
3. He is a government official. He is a threat because he has the power to kill them off when he sees fit. This is loosely based off of a big-brother-type conspiracy-this explains his authority to kill them.
4. Clay was angry at him, and Max was testing him by saying that he couldn't shoot him, so Clay did.
5. For the most part, there was no need for them because the military was present. On another note, it takes time for law enforcement to respond, so you have to take into account the location of the scene as well as how quickly it is taking place (as the time in the movie may be different than real-time due to showing multiple points of view. You should also consider whether there was anyone around to call the law enforcement, such as civilians, because you can assume that those taking part in the shoot-outs would not call the law on themselves.
6. I suppose they do. For one thing, they are still wanted criminals because Max did get away. Pooch wouldn't have been able to walk into the hospital and tell them who he was, because he was supposed to be dead. This would leave an obvious paper trail (or even video, considering most hospitals would have had security cameras) that could also put his wife/son in danger by showing that he had contacted them.
7. No. It's not easy at all. On the other hand, they are trained to be an elite team, and they are all professionals. They would also be able to make it very believable if only because they would know regulations that come with being in the military (this coupled with the fact that they were reacting to a distress call and would therefore be racing against the clock and paying less attention to the inconsistencies in their stories I'm sure they were more concerned about the person that they thought had broken his neck). Pooch is an expert at operating any vehicle. It's part of his character.
On another note, I don't see how you can say that the movie put the comics to shame and complain about this scene at the same time. This scene is almost exactly the same as a scene in issue 1. So, unless you are getting confused with the WWII version of the Losers (which is an entierly different comic than the Veritgo version) you are contradicting yourself somewhat.
8. Max shot her because he's a freak, plain and simple. This what we call character development. In shooting her for something as simple as losing control of the umbrella due to the wind, we see that he has no sympathy nor value for human life. Would you have prefered he had a dialouge with someone about how he doesn't care about human life? God, I hope not.
I liked the movie. Now sure, they did try to put a lot of content into one movie, and yes, it is easier to put the story into 37 issues, but that doesn't mean that the movie was garbage, just that it might have been better as a series of movies.
If there's anything else you didn't understand about the movie, feel free to ask! I'd be glad to answer any questions. I hope this helps you!
