I'm not a big collector of comics. I heard about Veronica issue 201 and was wondering if it might be rare?
This is a question about comic books. Veronic issue number 201. The one where she is portrayed like a tattoo. Are unique or artistic looking covers more valuable? I also heard that it might be more rare than the other issues. How would you be able to know this? Is it true with this issue? I'm wondering if I should buy this issue or not. I don't buy comic books very often and I'm not a big collector of them. Thank you very much.
Sorry, but I wouldn't spend more than $5 on this issue. It doesn't seem to be very rare. Rarity and value can depend on a lot of things, i.e. how many were originally printed, how many are still in circulation, is it autographed, is there a high demand. Some issues also have variant covers which are the same number and story but an alternate cover. These can also be more valuable, which is why it's important to pay attention to the actual artwork. After all this, I still must say that collecting should depend more on personal interest and not just the worth of one's collection. If you like it then buy it.

Fans of Marvel's The Incredible Hulk comic books share an affinity for the big green guy - but what many of them might not know is that Dr. Bruce Banner's alter-ego was not always green! The skin-color decision belonged to then editor-in-chief Stan Lee, who wanted to make the unlikely - and very angry - hero a color that was not associated with any particular ethnic group...
