30 Long Boxes Full Of Comic Books Long boxes will be picked from this collection. I recently acquired 27,000+ comic books contained in 90 long boxes. I bought them with the intent of sorting through them and selling them individually. Well, I have come to realize that I just don't have the time to do this right now. So, in this auction I'm selling them off in lots of 30 boxes each. Each bid of $1,100.00 will be for thirty (30) long boxes stuffed full of comic books; approximately 300+ individual books in each box. The boxes will be pulled at random. I don't have a clue what exact books or issues are contained in each box. They could be a mix of comics from Marvel, DC, Image, & other various publishers. As of this time the books are in the same order as I received them. These books would make a GREAT addition to anyone's collection. Also, at this price, you could start setting up at comic book conventions and have your own $1 comic book business. You would be looking at an approximate 800% return on your initial investment. A brief overview of the collection showed the following: Books from all the major publishers are present. There are also books from independent publishers. All of the major characters/teams are present. Books range in age from Golden Age - Modern Age Books range in grade from PR - NM condition. (see grading scale below). Grading: As stated above, I don't consider myself a professional grader when it comes to comics. However, I try to be as strict as possible when grading. When grading, I try to follow The Official Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide as closely as possible. The Official Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide grading is as follows: 9.4 Near Mint: The overall look is as if it was just purchased and maybe opened once; only subtle defects are allowed; paper is cream to off-white, supple and fresh; cover is flat with surface wear or creases; inks and colors are bright; small penciled or inked arrival dates are acceptable; very slight blunting of corners at top and bottom of spine are common; outside corners are cut square and sharp. Books in this grade could bring prices of guide and a half or more. 9.0 Very Fine/Near Mint: Limited number of defects; full cover gloss with only very slight wear on book corners and edges; very minor foxing; very minor tears allowed, binding still square and tight with no pages missing; paper quality still fresh from cream to off-white.
